London To Bamberg (Germany)

Well we are on our way at long last , caught the train to London with all our gear and stayed overnight at the London Plaza Hotel in Victoria . Hope the trip carries on this way as we were upgraded to a suite which had two bedrooms , two bathrooms , a kitchen and three tv,s .
Managed to get on the coach at 7.30 am and met the rest of our fellow travellers for the journey down to Dover and our introduction to Calypso (our mobile hotel) . We had a introduction to our guides CJ and Jim and then off on the ferry to Calais , it was a four hour drive to Tournai in Belgium for our first night under canvas . We were assigned various tasks mine was truck "WALLY" and Sandra was truck cleaner which was right up her street , after a very cold and damp night we set off for Cologne in Germany . It was a very good journey where everybody started to bond with much fun and laughter . The campsite in Cologne was better and we learnt some lessons from the previous night regarding condensation and comfort , a lot of the younger set went out for a few beers while we went to bed early (i am hoping the tortoise will eventually catch the hare ) .
Next day it was a seven hour journey to Bamburg in Germany which seemed to pass quickly and before you knew it we had arrived . Another great campsite on the river and a days sightseeing in the town looking at the Dom (cathedral) and other old buildings . The internet connections so far have not been good and uploading of photos very slow which does not bode well when we get further along the road .

Photo's look good guys and sounds like you are having lots of fun already!!! I wish i was in Prague with you, have a few beers/ciders for me :-)
